This morning, I discovered I was required to publish a free story before I was able to publish pay-per-view erotica. I hadn’t expected this, so I wrote a short story walking through my bathtime routine. I hope you enjoy it!
When I’ve had a long and tiring day, I find that the fastest way to rejuvenate me is with a bath. I light candles whilst the water runs, and switch my smart light to a soothing lilac. When the bath is almost full, I set up my waterproof speaker and take the plunge.
Every single time, I’m always surprised by how pleasurable a bath can be, and will myself to take them more frequently. I admire my body under the soft lilac light, with candles flickering beside me. I trace shapes under the water, and form tiny waves with my hands.
On the speaker, I’ll play my recent favourite songs, or a collection of dreamlike instrumentals.
If a song is bassy, I’ll dip my head under the water and listen to the boom reverberating in the water. Sometimes, I notice a bass line I’ve never heard before outside of the water.
When I notice the tips of my hair are wet, I’ll take a full plunge. I love how nice my hair looks after washing it, so I almost always wash my hair when bathing. Looking down at the strands under the water, they have this ethereal mermaid quality. It adopts a life of its own underwater. Floating, teasing and shimmering in a way that just can’t happen outside of the water. During this time, I feel so magical.
Once I’ve enjoyed being a mermaid long enough, it’s time for the shampoo. I splash some extra water onto my crown, and lather the product between my soft hands. I run my hands through my hair, pulling it all together and then teasing it apart. I pay close attention to integrating the product into my crown, taking special care not to bump my nails into the other hand. When it happens, it hurts terribly!
Sometimes, I’ll even do a second application of shampoo if I feel I need it. I always find it interesting how different the texture feels after this step. Once I’m satisfied that I’ve washed out the product thoroughly enough, I’ll apply a large amount of conditioner. I always purchase the conditioner that professes itself as hydrating, moisturising and smoothing. My ideal hair would be a soft waterfall of fine black strands, running down to my shoulders.
I leave in the conditioner as long as I can, and wash my body whilst I wait. Often a song and a half, or until I forget I have conditioner in and dip under the water. The texture feels so incredibly smooth after conditioner, there’s nothing else quite like it. Like tassels on a silk scarf.
Turning the hot tap, I’ll wash my face with a grapefruit scented cleanser. I love fruity scented items, and citrus scents especially. When I rinse it off, I can feel how much softer my skin feels. Now my hair is thoroughly conditioned, I’ll add one final touch. A leave in product offers a final guarantee of lasting smoothness, which I can’t resist.
Emerging from the water like a nymph, I run my hands down my body to push off the remaining droplets. The highest point of my chest offers a smooth plane from which I can drive off the most water, though the outside of my thighs offer plenty of opportunity too. I take a careful step onto the bathmat, and wrap a towel around my chest.
With delicate fingers, I moisturise my face. The cleanser has made me smooth, but has dried out my skin and made it vulnerable. Breathing in the humid air, I blow out the candles and switch the smart light back to normal. I put on a beautiful fresh nightgown, and feel incredible.
Thank you for joining me in the bath.
